The Minsk District educational system comprises 2 gymnasiums, 1 lyceum, 29 secondary schools, 1 middle school, 1 elementary school, 8 kindergarten-school educational facilities, 44 kindergartens, 2 children’s and youth art centers, the centre for tourism and local history, the vocational training and education center, the center for developmental education and rehabilitation, socio-pedagogical center, a children's recreation camp, and a children's village.
Some 68% of education professionals have the highest degree and first degree qualifications. The district has created a single methodological space within the district program "Personnel". Improvement of professional skills of teaching staff is achieved through the activities organized by the local methodological service.
Fitted with all necessary equipment and a multimedia system the teaching center offers the latest courseware, over 100 descriptions of periodicals, and an electronic file cabinet.
Preschool facilities provide all favorable conditions to foster basic and cognitive skills, perform experiments, take up theater, constructive and artistic activities. The state educational establishment “Preschool Center for Child’s Development Kolosok” that offer high-quality education services is recognized as one of the best in Minsk Oblast.
A priority in the system of general secondary education is the quality of education services, popularization of a healthy lifestyle among children. taking into account the social and economic conditions of the region, varying educational needs of students and their parents the high quality education is achieved through extracurricular activities aimed at honing children’s’ skills in various school subjects, as well as music, art, theater, choreographic and sports activities. Alongside with the general certificate of secondary education, many graduates receive a certificate of vocational training.
The district pays much attention to gifted children. There is the local program “Young Talents of Minsk District”. The center for children’s art Dzyannitsa unites the Kupalinka literature and creativity association and the regional association of intellectual clubs. The district provides children with an opportunity to conduct research activities, hosts annual competitions and tournaments.
